Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (SamDaddy) has described the emergence of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO) as a major boost to the economies of the Igbos, Nigeria and Africa at large, saying that the victory was triggered by her intellectual makeup.
Anyanwu, expressed happiness that while some women were busy fighting for gender equality and humiliating their husbands, Dr Iweala was determined to finding solution to global economic downturn.
He said that her success did not come to Nigerians by surprise, having played a part in reinvigorating the nation’s economy as Minister of Finance, adding that her firm determination to make an impact in her generation motivated the height.
Senator Anyanwu further expressed optimism that her emergence would go a long way to ending most hastily taken decisions that caused global economic meltdown, pointing out that it would bring sanity and lasting solution to world trade.
According to him, her election was a direct message to some women fighting for gender equality, instead of using their God’s given wisdom and talent to change the society for good.
He therefore advised women spending time and resources on physical make-ups to rather invest heavily on their brains to enable them make impact, while describing her as a typical African woman with enough intellectual accumulations.
