…leaving him a General, without a Battalion.
Egejuru Austin T.
Firstly, Gov Uzodinma’s anointed candidate for Okigwe APC Senatorial ticket, Chief Frank Ibezim, was beaten blue and black by the zone’s emperor, Sen Ifeanyi Ararume, to clinch the party’s ticket through a court ruling. Since this development, Gov Uzodinma has remained unsettled. He has spent efforts trying to solve the puzzle that gave the outcome, all to no avail.
Secondly, the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, recently pulled the rug off Gov Hope Uzodinma’s feet, by handing over the body and soul of Imo APC to the faction led by Dan Nwafor, sponsored by his arch political rival, Sen Rochas Okorocha. As at today, Gov Uzodinma have lost the structure of his party in the state, as such, can no longer call the shots. He is now exposed to the mercies, whims and caprices of those he vilified.
Thirdly, the purported elected Local Government officials under the Okorocha’s administration, in pursuance of the enforcement of a subsisting court order which declared them the legally elected officials of the Local Government, have threatened to forcefully take over the 27 Imo Local Government Councils, on the 30th of November, 2020. Should this threat come to fruition, it will be another fatal blow to Gov Hope Uzodinma’s political camp in Imo State.
Lastly, we hear that Gov Hope Uzodinma has lost another soldier in his Imo House of Assembly troop. The member representing Orlu State Constituency, Hon Pascal Okolie, has just got the log in his eyes pulled off. Hon Okolie repented of his sins and betrayals, and has traced his way back to the PDP, in confirmation that the palm frond Gov Uzodinma dangled to Imo House Members to lure them to his side has gotten dried up, or perharps finished. More of these unprincipled defectors might just be on their ways back to their hoods.
This is providence playing out. Some may say, karma is a bitch.
