Come back to PDP, SamDaddy begs Imolites
PRESS RELEASE
SENATOR SAMDADDY ANYANWU CALLS ON IMO PEOPLE TO JOIN PDP
-SAYS PARTY NOW READY TO REVIVE STATE’s ECONOMY, RESTORE CONFIDENCE
-PLEADS WITH AGGRIEVED MEMBERS OF A LEVEL PLAYING GROUND
Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (SamDaddy) has called on the good people of Imo state to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to revive the state and guarantee their future.
He made this call at the heels of the debilitating hunger occasioned by the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic and EndSars protest, assuring that PDP government would do everything possible to rebuild their confidence in the governance of the state by ensuring that their needs were provided.
Senator Anyanwu also admonished members of the party not to lose hope over the internal wrangling that suddenly metamorphosed into court litigations against PDP few months ago, saying that those minor misunderstandings were part of measures to strengthen the party in the state.
He further urged party members to resist every move by selfish politicians to hijack the structure of the party, maintaining that until stakeholders of PDP learn how to apply strategic mechanisms in solving internal crisis, the party would continue to struggle to win future elections.
According to him, a political party made up of people with diverse interests was like a marriage of two strange couples, adding that it could only require time, understanding and corporation to get things done alright.
He therefore expressed confidence that the caliber of members the party possesses in the state were capable of settling the party’s differences, and stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to revive, revamp and rehabilitate the party.
He said, “PDP is a big family, therefore; in a family like this, there is no kind of human being you will not find, members can quarrel and disagree, but one thing remains certain, that our differences cannot divide us as members of that BIG family. My advice is for everyone to eschew anchor and embrace peace, unity and corporation to enable us reposition PDP in Imo State through a sincere and all inclusive harmonization. On the other hand, our members whose interests were dashed and jettisoned, I call on you to come back home, we shall make things work again as one indivisible and indissoluble entity called PDP. I therefore assure you that we are now ready to make the party very formidable and popular once again”.
Senator Anyanwu who appealed to Imo people to join the party as a moving train, also urged dedicated members of PDP to remain steadfast, assuring them of his willingness and other stakeholders of the party to continue to contribute towards the sustenance of peace geared towards safeguarding party programs.
He further maintained that as the major opposition party in the state and Nigeria at large, the people were ready to assist the party regain power in the next election, saying that only good behavior of members would convince the masses that PDP has come together to pursue a common goal of reclaiming power to rebuild and provide best alternative for the state.
