Okigwe Senate: We will buy Okigwe votes with hard currency – Chikwem Onuoha assures Hope Uzodinma (Video)
An Okigwe APC senatorial aspirant Chikwem Onuoha, who have stepped down to support the Hope Uzodinma anointed, but court sacked candidate, Frank Ibezim, have assured the Govenror that they will use money to buy votes from the people of Okigwe and deliver their candidate.
Speaking at a political rally in Okigwe, with Hope Uzodinma in attendance, Chikwem Onuoha stated that they know what the people want. He insisted that the people want hard currency and that they have the money, and they will go to the grassroot and give them the money for their votes.
Frank Ibezim, an aide to the junior Minister for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, was declared as winner by the Hope Uzodinma faction of the APC in Imo State.
Ibezim was however sacked by two High Court rulings, that authenticated Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the authentic candidate of the party.
Uzodinma despite holding a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, where the Okigwe Senate impasse was supposedly discussed, have refused to recognize Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the candidate of the party.
While speaking to a rally, Uzodinma struck a blow at Araraume, claiming he obtained his court ruling from Ekeonuwa market, assuring Ibezim that he would emerge victorious.
The Senator Ifeanyi Araraume media team, led by Honorable Raymond Aguguo had responded on behalf of the Senator, over Uzodinma’s comments against Araraume, stating that Uzodinma had no regard for the court, for him to make such utterances against a court ruling.
Ibezim headed to the Appeal Court after the High Court defeat. The Appeal Court is expected to come up with a ruling today as the election holds tomorrow.
