Vote Uche Nwosu in 2023 – Rochas Okorocha tells Imo voters

The Senator representing Imo West in Senatorial district at the Red Chambers, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has described the economic downturn in Imo as the citizen’s inability to see beyond their standpoint saying the wrong choice of leaders has come back to haunt the state.

Okorocha who was a guest at Nwangele local government area on Tuesday, during the 3rd annual empowerment programme of the member representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo said Imo can still make it right by looking towards Uche Nwosu in 2023.

He noted that Imo have come to realize that he never meant to deceive them when he chose Uche Nwosu as his rightful successor. He added that the difference is now clear following the general economic stimulus parameters available in the state.

The former Imo State Governor commended Ozurigbo, describing him as his son in whom he is well pleased. Hon. Ozurigbo had during the occasion rolled out a multi-million Naira empowerment program, and presented over 60 vehicles to his constituent for their unflinching support, mobilisation and prayers.

Okorocha who was full of praises for Ozurigbo said the lawmaker’s gesture is a redemption of his electoral promises to impact on the lives of members of his constituency.

Ozurigbo who is House Committee Chairman on Justice, in his brief remark, said the presentation, was in fulfilment of his personal vow to God and to improve on transportation system in his constituency pointing out that the proposed Civic Centre he promised his constituent is already in the 2021 budget.

Furthermore, the Federal lawmaker who had few months ago presented over 40 vehicles to his constituents in the second phase of the programme said “this is in keeping with my campaign promises to my people and in the next 3 months, the 4th phase of this program will come up and over six hundred beneficiaries will be empowered”

Ozurigbo who was a former Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly added that “What we are doing today is what we have always done to make the people of this constituency happy and make them feel the impact of democracy.” He promised to do all within his best to bring home dividends of democracy to his Federal Constituency.

Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who witnessed the presentation, commended Ozurigbo for his large heart, describing him as an embodiment of what a representative should be.

The Speaker who was represented by Alhassan Ado -Doguwa, Majority Leader, advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the vehicles for the upliftment of their lives and those of their family members. He urged those who missed out in the programme to exercise patience as they could still benefit from his subsequent ones

He said ,”The entire House of Reps Members are proud of you like we are proud of Senator Rochas Okorocha. This is an uncommon presentation, keep the flag flying for your people will pay you back”

“What we are witnessing today is unprecedented and an indication that our members feel the pulse of the people. Those who benefited should use this empowerment judiciously and those who didn’t should relax for your time is coming” he comments.

Hon Nkiru Onyejiocha Reps Member from Abia State enjoined the people to be faithful to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the party is committed to delivering dividends of democracy to all parts of the state.
