Imo APC Crisis: Nwafor Writes Natl. Chair, Describes Nlemigbo’s Appointment as Illegal
The battle over the control of Imo APC appears to have no end yet despite the recent appointment of Marcellinus Nlemigbo by Mala Bun’s led caretaker and extraordinary convention planning committee as the Dan Nwafor’s led APC State working committee has written to the National leadership of the party demanding recognition of Nwafor as the state chairman of the party pending the expiration of his office in 2022.
This is even as the said Dan-led Executive described the appointment of Nlemigbo as caretaker illegal hence the Imo APC issue was already pending at the Supreme Court before the purported appointment of Nlemigbo as caretaker.
In a press release signed by Dan Nwafor on his capacity as the state chairman of the party in Imo, Nwafor chronicled series of court actions ranging from the Federal High Court to the court of Appeal where his Executive got favorable judgments as to the authentic and legal state executives of the APC in Imo till 2022.
As contained in the release Nwafor disclosed that Gov. Mai Mala Buna’s led APC National Caretaker had dragged him and his executive to the Supreme Court after their victory at the court of Appeal and queried the rationale behind same Bunis appointment of Nlemigbo as the caretaker in Imo APC while the matter which he is the plaintiff is still pending at the Supreme Court.
He however enjoined the Buni’s led caretaker to do the needful by according to him and his team the necessary recognition and save Imo APC from disintegrating.
What a childish distraction. In this case Nwafor is now distracting himself and not the party again. The party at the national level has taken their decision if he and his master likes let them continue to disgrace themselves.
