Ezinne Josephine Angus Okorie celebrating 78 in style

It was not a Sunday neither was it Christmas day. The day was 28th of December 2020, a Monday, but for the people of Ohohia Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, it was like a Sunday and a second day of Christmas, as the people trooped out to celebrate a great woman and mother, Ezinne Josephine Ihuaku Uwabunkeonye Adaego Angus Okorie, as she marked her 78th birthday celebration.
The Nazareth Anglican Church Ohohia was in full swing despite the day wasn’t a Sunday, with Arch Bishop Innocent Erimujor, Bishop Ngozi Durueke and Ven T Onwuka in full attendance to officiate, as people from all creeds gathered at the church to join her and her children to celebrate her new age.
Her last son, Mr. Chinweuba Okorie while speaking to MaaziTV said “Anyi rige nne anyi na ndu, We are enjoying our mother alive. What’s the point in throwing parties when she is no more when we can do all that now and celebrate her now that she is with us?”
Energetic and full of life, Ezinne Josephine Angus Okorie didn’t look 78, she looked and acted like a 68 years old, as she danced to the glory of God, and later at the reception, which took place at the house of her son Mr. Victor Angus Okorie, she moved about ensuring that everybody was well taken care of, as food and drinks were in the surplus, and a live band entertained the crowd.
One of her sons, Dr. Solomon Okorie, also used the opportunity to open his new country home.
The Okories weren’t done with celebrating their mother, as they distributed to the people especially mothers, bags of rice and other sovereigns as well as a N2million donation to the church.
Ezinne Josephine Okorie is blessed with six children, including Hon. Chief Oscar Angus Okorie, Dr Solomon Chukwuemeka Okorie, Mr David Nkemjika Okorie, Sir Victor Ejike Okorie, Mrs Onyinyechi vidah Okorie, Godwin Chiwuba Okorie and many grandchildren.
Among the numerous dignitaries that graced the occasion, included the Federal House of Representatives member representing Mbaike, RT Hon Henry Nwawuba, former Deputy Speaker of the Imo State Assembly, and State Assembly member representing Mbaitoli Rt Hon Okey Onyekamma, His Royal Majesty Eze Chijioke Egweagu(Nwama 2 of Umunwama), Mazi Execel Ochiama, Engr Godwin Agwunwoke, Engr Chris Okoro.
