Kidnapped Bishop Chikwe freed
The Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Catholic Archodiocese, Bishop Moses Chikwe has been freed by his abductors.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Imo State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu, the Bishop was freed unhurt.
He wrote on his facebook handle “Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Achdiocese, Bishop Moses Chikwe and few others, released unhurt, without ransom, sequel to a sting operation by the men of the Imo State Police Command.
Bishop Chikwe was kidnapped on December 27, 2020 in Owerri.
The Owerri Catholic Diocese, in a Press release attached below, confirmed his release and that of his driver, Ndubuisi Roberts.
