Top 10 most accepted Politicians in Imo State

Imo fields a wide array of top notch politicans, but not all of them have high level of acceptability with the people.
Below are the Top 10 most accepted and grounded Politicians in Imo State.

  1. Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha

The former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha inarguably tops the list of prominent, and grassroot accepted Imo politicians. Aside being a politician, he is also a businessman, with major interests in agriculture and other investments. He won the 2019 Governorship Election, in Imo State, but was removed by the Supreme Court in one of the most controversial rulings of the Apex Court in Nigeria’s history.
Emeka Ihedioha is from Aboh Mbaise in Imo State.

  1. Hope Uzodinma

Senator Hope Uzodinma, who now serves as Imo Govenror, should rank second on the list, even though some people will rate the former Govenror Rochas Okorocha, above him in acceptability, after Ihedioha. He represented Orlu in the Senate, and was made Govenror by the Supreme Court, after Ihedioha was removed.

  1. Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha

Believed by most, to be more acceptable than Hope Uzodinma, despite his rather not to popular eight years reign as Imo Govenror, Okorocha comes very close to Uzodinma in ranking of acceptability, as he still seems to have more followers than Uzodinma. Okorocha, who now represents Orlu in the Senate, recently seems to have his eyes set to replace President Muhammadu Buhari.
He comes from Ogboko in Ideato South Local Government of Imo State.

  1. Senator Ifeanyi Araraume

Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume, the Isiebu in Isiala Mbano born billionaire businessman and politicans, has remained a reoccurring decimal in Imo politics. He represented Okigwe in the Senate, and has since been trying unsuccessfully, to become Govenror of Imo State.

  1. Dr. Ikedi Ohakim

The former Govenror still maintains some level of followership, and acceptance amongst Imo people, despite being rejected by the people in 2011.

  1. Sir Jude Ejiogu

Without argument, the most educated and humane of all Imo politicans, and believed by many in Imo State, as the man who would have made a better Govenror than the rest, due to his background in administration and finance, as well as his wealth of academic qualifications, which is the best in the state amongst other politicans, the former Secretary to Imo State Government and the former chairman of the Local Government Civil Service Commission in Imo State, have remained widely accepted by the people of Imo State. He has also remained the only politican, who has personally maintained his Facebook page, and managed it on his own, even after the election, interacting with the people of Imo State, and as best as possible, helped as many as possible. The popular musician Ababa Nna, at a public function recently, which had Araraume, Okorocha and Ohakim in attendance, rated Ejiogu as the most intelligent and educated man who would have led Imo State. Ejiogu maintains his financial and securities consultancies.

  1. Senator Samuel Anyanwu SamDaddy

The former State Assembly member that represented Ikeduru in the state Assembly, former Senator that represented Owerri Zone in the Senate, and 2019 PDP Govenroship aspirant, has maintained a fairly strong followership.

  1. Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba

The junior Minister for Education and former Chairman of TETFund Board Of Trustees, was also the former Committee Chairman for House Of Representatives on Land and Housing, when he served the people of Okigwe South in the National Assembly. A former Govenror candidate of the defunct CPC, Nwajiuba’s closeness to President Muhammadu Buhari, have presented him as a force in the workings of the state politics. However, he is not generally accepted by the masses, and his influence lies with his seeming powers from Abuja.

Despite the political baggage inherited from his father in-law, Nwosu still enjoys a good level of acceptance and followership in the state. His numerous youth empowerment and Entrepreneurial programs, have kept him close to the hearts of many people in the state.
Uche Nwosu hails from Umunwokwe, Eziama-Obaire in Nkwerre, Imo State.

  1. Chief Achike Udenwa

The former Govenror still maintains a good level of followership in the state.
He hails from Amaifeke in Orlu LGA of Imo State.
