Mr. Darlington Ibekwe, political associate of former governor Rochas Okorocha, and Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the 2019 APC and AA governorship candidate in Imo State, as confirmed by a Supreme Court ruling, have lashed out at Senator Hope Uzodinma, following the invasion and seizure of the hotel owned by Okorocha’s wife, Nneoma Okorocha, Royal Spring Palm.

The Uzodinma administration, yesterday 19th February, stormed the hotel premises, and sealed the premises.

In his reaction, Ibekwe, who had come to the place as it was being taken over by the Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu led team, accused Uzodinma of declaring war on Senator Rochas Okorocha, who he claimed was not after Uzodinma.

Ibekwe had made a live video of his arrival to the hotel, and alleged that he was threatened for making the video.

Ibekwe alleged that the policemen attached to them, fired live round at people (one of the attached videos below shows shooting).

Ibekwe in the video he released on his Facebook handle, blasted Uzodinma, accusing him of building a mansion in Owerri, with Imo money.

Ibekwe insisted that Uzodinma was broke before getting into power, through the Supreme Court

He further insisted that all the former associates of Otokoto, who were chased away from Imo State during the Otokoto saga, had returned to the state, labelling Uzodinma as an associate of Otokoto.

The Otokoto Saga happened in 1996, when a little boy named Anthony Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, was murdered for ritual purposes by Innocent Ekeanyanwu, at the Otokoto Hotels owned by Chief Leonard Unaogu, who is currently on death row, awaiting his court sanctioned execution.

Imo State boiled as there was massive riots and burning of buildings believed to belong to suspected ritualists.

Uzodinma’s appointee Charles Orie, was one of those whose buildings and vehicles were also burnt during the saga.

Orie and others whose property were destroyed during the saga, had ran away from the state, but have since started to return, and even take up political positions in the state, whose people once ruined them.
