Understanding the Ondo State First Lady, Igolo Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu

As at 7pm in Akure, the day was still bright like it was in the afternoon. Cars were still driving with their headlamps off. Akure a beautiful city with smooth roads connections, organized drainage, well planned buildings, Neat and unlittered.
My visit to Akure revealed that Ondo state is led by level headed administrator. Sincerely, u will need no one to tell u that governor Akeredolu is a man full of capacity.
Talking about the qualities in the governor, you will need to recognize the role of the supportive wife. Behind every successful man, there is a WOMAN. Igolo Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu’s has brought a different style in approaching her office as a first lady.
Aside from her pet projects, such as her breast cancer initiative, that has saved so many lives, and her BeMore Initiative, that aims to give women a sense of belonging, and confidence to be more, Igolo Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has remained a driving force behind her husband, that had helped him serve his people better.
Coming to her relationship with her own people from Imo State, Igolo Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has remained ever in touch with Ndi Imo, that she had severally been accused of loving her people from Imo more, than her husband’s people. The accusation, at a time took a lot from her, but it never deterred her resolve.
Igolo Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has sponsored projects in her birth hometown, and had been instrumental to so many people from Imo State, getting appointments in her husband’s government, as she aims to uplift her people in any way and every way possible.
Igolo once said, that if she ever gets running for an elective position, she would prefer doing it with her people in Imo State, where she would not feel any discrimination, but rather be seen as one with the people she represents without being held bound by any tribal bigotry and have her office have a direct impact on her native people without rancor.
I was amazed at her passion and love for her people. She is basically a stand out amongst women. Most women marry and move on, but this one said, her people must smile in her joy and benefit in her developments.
In an environment where reasons of wisdom are put together, people like H/E, Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu deserves to be given more positions here at home to get her express this rear show of love and passion. She is simply a goal getter.
Highly educated, very polished in her approach, experienced and globally exposed, Igolo Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu remains a woman anybody would be glad of getting the opportunity to know.
