Video: People said Hope Uzodinma duped people in FESTAC, Ibekwe claims
Mr. Darlington Ibekwe, a political associate of former governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has taken another swipe at Senator Hope Uzodinma in a new video, this time stating that there were claims by people, that the Imo governor allegedly defrauded people in FESTAC, before he went into politics.
Ibekwe, a very vocal critic of the Uzodinma administration, had earlier made a viral video, where he labelled Uzodinma an Otokoto man.
Ibekwe’s latest swipe at the Imo governor, who Ibekwe in his video, termed as Supreme Court, came in reaction to the removal of Uche Ogbuagu as the Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly.
Interestingly, Ibekwe was in solidarity with Ogbuagu, who had once said a lot of negative things about Okorocha, as well as released several audio tapes disparaging Okorocha.
Ogbuagu, an Aba based comedian and MC, was brought into politics by Senator Rochas Okorocha, following the removal of Dr Ikedi Ohakim.
Ogbuagu will later dump Okorocha, and wage severe media wars against his former benefactor.
Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha would help Ogbuagu to the State Assembly, but they would have a falling out, when Ihedioha failed to help him become the Deputy Speaker of the State House.
His support for Uzodinma against Ihedioha, earned him the Majority Leader position, which was today 4th March 2021, stripped from him.
Ibekwe would come in solidarity for Ogbuagu, urging Imolites not to castigate Ogbuagu over his sack.
While reacting to a comment on the live video from a supporter of Senator Hope Uzodinma, Ibekwe stated that comments from people, stated that Uzodinma was suspected of defrauding people while in FESTAC, and was tagged as a fraudster.
Ibekwe frowned at the legislative arm of Govenrment, for failing in their duties, lamenting the harassment and intimidation of the Hope Uzodinma Govenrment, pointing out the arrests of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, and Hon Hercules, who represents Ohaji Egbema in the State Assembly.
He also knocked those who wanted to recall Okorocha, stating that it was harder to recall a Senator, than voting for one.
He further knocked Uzodinma for the attack on Okorocha, at the Royal Spring Palm hotels, seized from Okorocha, at the orders of Hope Uzodinma.
He would go into discussion with another popular social commenter, as they would discuss the state of affairs in Imo State.
