Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, have taken a swipe at his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, stating that he would not be richer than Imo State, when he leaves office.

This was an indirect reply to Okororcha, who boosted that he was richer than Imo State in a viral video, a comment that drew lots of criticism to the former governor.

Uzodinma made the statement, while speaking on his one year in office, where he reiterated his resolve, to work for the good and development of Imo State.

Uzodinma and Okororcha have been having a running political feud, almost since Uzodinma assumed office as governor of Imo State.

Uzodinma had accused Okororcha, of begging him to turn a blind eye to his sins while in office, and traced their battle to his refusal to ascend to Okororcha’ s pleas.

There have also been the issue of supremacy in the party, with Okororcha backing the Daniel Nwafor faction, while Uzodinma backed the Marcon Nlemigbo faction, in a battle that have torn the party apart in the State.

Uzodinma’ s move, to implement the report of the Judicial Panel, set up by Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, to probe Okororcha, which led to the seizure of Okororcha’ s wife’ s hotel, and Okororcha’ s eventual arrest, haven’ t helped smoothen their relationship, but rather, created more enmity between them.

Uzodinma have urged the next administration after him, to probe him without fear, when he gets down from office, while he promised to recover every looted property of the state in the hands of Okororcha, his family members and associates.
